Zhanjiang ranks eighth among 100 cities in 30 provinces for its strong comprehensive ability to carry out environmental protection development, as released in a report on Dec 24.

Leizhou Peninsula sits in the north tropics and faces a tropical ocean.It is in the grip of the monsoon climate and has natural tropical evergreen monsoon forests.
