Resumption of major projects steadies Zhanjiang's economy
Four major projects in Zhanjiang have made every efforts to resume work and production during the novel coronavirus control and prevention period to contribute to the steady development of the city's economy.
The No 3 blast furnace project of Zhanjiang Baosteel has basically resumed work with over 2,300 workers on site. Zhanjiang Baosteel has launched strict control measures and sent chartered buses for migrant workers to avoid the risk of contact cross-infection on the way to the site. Construction units also established employee files to register their personnel health and travel information, as well as purchased anti-epidemic materials to ensure a safe and healthy work and living environment.
The Zhanjiang Avenue project has carried out organization management, division of responsibilities, material security, on-site testing, daily disinfection, and emergency treatment. In addition, extensive publicity and education activities were carried out to popularize relevant prevention and control information, as well as improve employees' awareness of self-protection methods. It also strictly implemented relevant requirements for epidemic prevention, as well as conducted 14-day health monitoring and observation periods for its returning staff. In addition, the reserves of anti-epidemic materials, such as masks and disinfectants, have been strengthened.
