It took about an hour to finish cycling the 12.6-kilometer greenway around the park. Now Zhanjiang's longest greenway, the path has been newly added to the park as part of a series of construction upgrades on the embankment that have taken place since 2012.
The lakeside greenway, providing an ideal place for leisure and entertainment, was a New Year's gift to the people of Zhanjiang, said the government.

The Zhanjiang government hopes more supporting facilities, such as resting areas, will be built to make citizens more comfortable.
